Menendez alleges vast corruption 指證的罪名是接受新澤西州三名建築商人及銀行家的賄賂。那三名商人也一起被起訴。而與曼南德茲一起被起訴的還有他的妻子。證據還太明顯了，包括在他家中搜出將近五十萬元的現金，三公斤重的黃金，及一輛作為禮物的賓士車。他遭到起訴的三項罪名還包括，他在2018年向埃及政府提供美國政府的敏感情報資料，包括美國駐開羅大使館中的人員背景資料，以及美國即將取消對埃及小型軍售的禁令，同時他親自為埃及政府撰寫發送給美國，要求開放價值三億元軍售的陳情書等等。這些都是嚴重的出賣美國的罪名。 說到埃及請求美國政府開放軍售這回事，我想到最近這回事： https://news.ltn.com.tw/news/world/breakingnews/4427761 埃及人權問題沒進展 美擬將17.5億軍援轉給台灣 然後我看到共和黨那邊有評論員跳出來表示，這是為了掩護敗登家族貪腐的斷尾求生，把自己人丟到巴士底下，好讓外界轉移注意力。
